MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

The following guidelines have been established to ensure the safety and security of members and employees of The Club while promoting enjoyment during visits and workouts.

+ MEMBERSHIP I.D. CARDS AND CHECK-IN

Each member receives a membership I.D. card with photo upon enrollment that must be scanned at the unit located on the service desk counter for entry into The Club at the time of each visit. Each member is responsible for the maintenance of his or her membership I.D. card. A replacement charge of $5 will apply for the creation of a new card. Membership I.D. cards may not be given to a guest or another member to gain entry.

+ MEMBER LOCKER ROOMS

Member locker rooms are designed to provide members (13+) with comfortable and convenient accommodations before and after each workout, including steam rooms. Daily-use lockers are available to all members free of charge. A limited number of permanent lockers are available for rental for a monthly fee in the member locker rooms. Please contact the Member Services team for more details. Out of respect for other members, please refrain from cell phone usage while in the locker rooms. The Club at Prairie StoneTM is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Children (12 and under) are not permitted in the member locker rooms but may utilize the community locker rooms with parental supervision during visits.

+ CLUB ETIQUETTE & BEHAVIOR

  • Adherence to all written and posted facility and district rules and regulations is required.
  • For the consideration of all members and guests, please allow others to use equipment between sets.
  • While working out within the facility, proper fitness attire is required, including closed toe athletic footwear.
  • Refrain from dropping equipment and/or using chalk while using weights.
  • After use of equipment and free weights, return all equipment and rack.
  • For your safety, the safety of others, and the longevity of the fitness equipment, safe lifting practices are expected.
  • Use of profanity is strictly prohibited.
  • Please be considerate of others while speaking on or using a cell phone. Please refrain from use of cell phone on fitness floor. Limit phone conversations to common areas of the facility.
  • Purposely destroying, modifying, or tampering with facility equipment is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate revocation of membership privileges.
  • Firearms are strictly prohibited within the facility.
  • Smoking (to burn or exhale any cigar, cigarette, pipe, electronic–cigarette or any other device designed to inhale and/or exhale tobacco or any vaporizer related products) is prohibited on the property grounds at any time.
  • Audible personal speakers or devices are prohibited. Please use headphones with any personal devices.
  • Offering or receiving training services of any kind with a person(s) not employed or in a contract with The Club or HEParks is prohibited in the facility

+ FAMILY RULES & REGULATIONS

Children ages 12 & under are included in individual adult memberships. They are limited to use of the activity pool, gymnasium,and the community locker rooms. While in the activity pool and gymnasium, children must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian (18+) at all times. Adults may utilize indoor track, Free Motion equipment area and the cardio equipment in the front fitness corridor while children are in gymnasium. Children ages 10-12 may participate in Family Fitness Hours and must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian (18+) at all times. Children are allowed to use equipment on the mezzanine level and track from 1:00pm to close, Thursday-Sunday. Junior memberships are for young adults ages 13-24 (for dependents of adult members) at an additional monthly rate. Junior members have access to the member locker rooms. Junior members cannot supervise anyone.

For the safety of swim lesson participants, activity pool usage is restricted during select swim lesson sessions.

+ GUEST GUIDELINES

We welcome guests ages 18+ with signed waiver and valid photo identification with birthdate. Guests ages 13 - 17 years old are welcome with parent or legal guardian signed waiver (available online or at Service Desk) and valid photo identification with birthdate. Guests ages 12 and under are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the visit. Access for guests ages 12 and under is limited to the Activity Pool, Gymnasium and Community Locker Rooms.

+ ALL-ACCESS PRIVILEGES

Current members (16+) of The Club enjoy complimentary access to the fitness centers located at the Triphahn Center and Willow Recreation Center.*

Members must present a valid membership I.D. card of The Club at the Service Desk to gain access. Bring a personal lock to secure your items at the Triphahn Center and Willow Recreation Center. Certain restrictions apply; contact the Member Services team for more details. Family privileges do not extend to the Triphahn Center or Willow Recreation Center.

+ MEMBER COMMUNICATION

Communication with members will be done primarily through email; or by phone, when necessary. It is the responsibility of the member to provide accurate and up-to date contact emails and phone numbers. For timely assistance, communication with The Club staff can be done through either email, at clubmembership@heparks.org , or phone 847-285-5403.

+ MEMBER STATUS CHANGES / CANCELLATION

+ Vacation Hold:
Members may request in advance of the start date of a vacation to place their membership on a vacation hold for a duration no less than 1 calendar month in length and no greater than 4 calendar months in length. During this hold period, monthly dues are reduced to $10 per month per member, which eliminates the need to pay a reinstatement fee upon release of the hold. Club access is restricted during this hold period.

+ Medical Hold:
Members may request to place their membership on a medical hold during situations when physical visits to the club are restricted under physician orders. During this hold period, monthly dues are waived in their entirety.

Written notification of hold requests are required and must be submitted (along with supporting medical documentation/physician referral for medical holds) and confirmed with the Member Services team. Club access and regular dues automatically resume following the completion of the vacation or medical hold.

Extensions of a vacation/medical hold will be considered following the same procedures as required for the original request.

+ Membership Cancellation:
Members may cancel a membership within (3) business days of enrollment and request a full refund. Members are required to submit written notification of their cancellation intention to the Member Services team 30 days in advance of their desired cancellation date. Written notice of cancellation can be emailed to our Member Services Team at clubmembership@heparks.org . Response with confirmation of receipt of cancellation will be emailed from team member within 24-48 hours. Members are responsible for billing charges incurred during this 30-day notification period and must complete and sign all necessary paperwork to validate the request.

+ MEMBER REFERRAL PROGRAM

An ongoing member referral program rewards current members with Club Cash incentives in exchange for member referrals. In order to qualify for a Club Cash incentive, the current member’s name must be noted on the new member application at the time of enrollment. Following completion of the first 30 days of membership for the new member, the Member Services team will contact the referring member to advise of the Club Cash incentive.

Excludes member add-ons within same household and previous members of The Club at Prairie StoneTM. Club Cash may be applied to future dues; Club Cash has no cash value.

 

COMPLIMENTARY PRIVILEGES

Membership at The Club includes a variety of facility privileges that are designed to optimize your visits and provide a unique and comfortable environment to achieve your fitness goals.

+ COMPLIMENTARY FITNESS ON-BOARDING PROGRAM

Members (16+) receive one complimentary meeting with a Personal Trainer to provide members with a summary of baseline physiological measurements including strength, balance, flexibility, body composition, endurance, and optimal heart rate training zone. This information is reviewed and is accompanied by a discussion regarding general fitness goals.

+ PERSONAL TRAINING CONSULTATION

All members (16+) have the opportunity to meet with a Certified Personal Trainer to discuss fitness goals, review health history, and have a conversation about personal training services.

+ EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION

All members have the opportunity to receive a complimentary equipment orientation, led by a fitness team member. Proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment is discussed to ensure safe and effective use of the equipment during workouts.

+ FITNESS EQUIPMENT

The Club offers a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment to provide members with a comprehensive and varied workout. All equipment is properly maintained and inspected on a regular basis to ensure optimal performance.

+ Cardiovascular Equipment:
More than 100 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including, turf lanes, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, step mills, rowers and upright and recumbent stationary bikes are available for member use. Disposable wipe stations are located at various locations on the fitness floor; members are encouraged to wipe down cardiovascular equipment prior to and following completion of their workout.

+ Strength Training Equipment:
The selection of strength training equipment at The Club includes free weights, lifting cages, selectorized equipment, plate loaded equipment and cable-driven circuit equipment. Members should always show courtesy to others in the fitness area by sharing weight equipment and allowing other members to work in between sets. Please refer to the club etiquette section for additional usage guidelines.

+ INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER

The aquatic center consists of a 25-yard lap pool, zero-depth activity pool and whirlpool. The pools are open during facility hours, closing 30 minutes prior to the facility closing, except during select swim lessons when the activity pool usage is restricted. Aquatic fitness classes are held in the lap pool at which time two or three lanes of the lap pool are closed. We ask you to adhere to the following guidelines while enjoying our aquatic center:

+ General Guidelines:

  • There is no lifeguard on duty. All members and guests swim at their own risk. Swimming alone is not recommended.
  • Lined swim suits must be worn by all swimmers at all times.
  • Members must shower prior to entering any of the pools.
  • Food and drink are not permitted in the pool or on the pool deck.
  • Running is not permitted on the pool deck.
  • Diving is not permitted in any of the pools.
  • Community locker rooms are for families and children 12 and under.

+ Activity Pool Guidelines:

  • Children (15 and under) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (18+).
  • Personal floatation devices including noodles, rafts, and kickboards are not permitted within the pool, unless utilized during a designated aquatic class. Only coast-guard approved life jackets allowed.
  • Demonstrate appropriate and courteous behavior at all times.
  • Infants must wear a swim diaper, plastic pants and lined swim suit.
  • Due to scheduled group swim lessons, the activity pool will be unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15–7:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00–11:45am. Days and times are subject to change.

+ Whirlpool Guidelines:

  • Children (16 and under) are not permitted in the whirlpool at any time.
  • The whirlpool will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 7:00am–1:00pm every other Wednesday. See Service Desk for cleaning schedule.

+ Lap Pool Guidelines:

  • The lap pool is available for members (16+). Members ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (18+).
  • Lap lanes should be reserved in advance. Members can reserve a lap lane by phone or book in person for up to one hour at a time. Phone number for reservation 847-285-5403
  • Children 12 and under are not permitted in the lap pool unless under the direct supervision of a swim instructor of The Club.
  • Lane usage may be restricted during aquatic classes, swim lessons, and special events.

+ MEMBER APPRECIATION DAY

The fourth Friday of each month, members are welcome to bring up to 2 guests (16+, guest rules apply) into the club for a complimentary visit. Guests must be accompanied by a member at the time of check in at the Service Desk. All other Club rules apply.

+ INDOOR TRACK

Located on the facility’s upper level, the indoor track accommodates runners, joggers, and walkers. The track is 1/9th of a mile in distance and is made of a durable cushioned material that reduces impact and increases shock absorption. Members should adhere to directional changes which are listed on a sign at the track entrance.

+ CLIMBING WALL

Members can climb the 40-foot indoor climbing wall during the open climbing hours. Children ages 4-12 and guests are subject to a $5 nominal fee during open climbing hours. Members and guests of The Club can also take advantage of our Belay Certification Class for an additional fee. Certified climbers may belay for their family and friends along with independent climbing using our auto belay device. See Service Desk for more info.

+ GROUP FITNESS

The Club offers a wide variety of instructor-led group fitness classes included for all membership types at no additional fee. HIIT and BRAVO Bootcamp classes are also available with purchase of an add-on pass.

Members must reserve their spot in each class through the MyZoneTM App. Current class schedules are available online at theclubps.com/group-fitness.

Children ages 12 and under may not participate in, nor be present during class times.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

The Club offers a variety of additional programs and services, which are available to members at a discount. Contact the Member Services team for more details. Additional fees apply.

+ HIIT CLUB

Upgrade your Membership to include Unlimited HIIT Classes. HIIT is a “High Intensity Interval Training” cardio session. It is filled with a series of short bursts of hard work meant to kick up the intensity of your regular cardio workout, pushing yourself to the max for ultimate results! Also included is access to our early morning BRAVO Bootcamp Classes! All fitness levels welcome to join workouts that consist of running/walking along with a variety of exercises to increase endurance and strength. For more information, click here.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The rules contained herein are not inclusive. Amendments to The Club at Prairie StoneTM rules and regulations may be made from time to time as necessary. Interpretation of the rules will be at the discretion of The Club at Prairie StoneTM.
