DROP OFF & PICK UP
Membership cards must be presented when dropping off and picking up your child. The person dropping off must be the person picking up. If it is necessary for an individual other than yourself to pick up your child, please provide the person’s name on a written authorization form to a Kids Club team member upon drop off. If your child has an allergy or other restrictions, we ask that you inform a Kids Club team member each time you drop off your child.
Sick children may infect others and are not permitted in the Kids Club. If a child appears to be sick, we may ask the parent to remove the child from Kids Club. Please refer to our separate “Kids Club Sick Children Regulations” for detailed information pertaining to illness.
Parents must remain in the club while their child is in the facility. We ask that parents limit their time spent within Kids Club to avoid disrupting the other children. Arriving a few minutes early allows time for transition and gives our team members a chance to gather any necessary information about the child. We also request that children wear a clean diaper when dropped off at Kids Club. Kids Club visits are limited to a 2 hour maximum per child, per day.
The Kids Club team members will work with children through the difficult stage of separation anxiety. If a child is new to Kids Club, or at the peak of separation anxiety we recommend starting off with a shorter visit. If a child experiences a difficult time and cannot be consoled within approximately 10 minutes, the parent will be called. After several visits, most children become assimilated and enjoy Kids Club.
Upon arrival please label all diaper bags, bottles and sippy cups. Labels will be provided for those items not already labeled. Please bring diapers and a change of clothing for any child who is not fully potty trained.
Infants age six weeks and older are welcome in Kids Club. We request reservations for infants and babies under 1 year, or until walking comfortably, to ensure appropriate supervision. Upon arrival we ask parents to provide our staff with any instructions regarding your infant. If diaper changes are needed, parent will be called. For Infant Reservations 847–285–5410
When behavior issues or problems arise that may cause harm to the child or other children, the Kids Club team member will use time-outs to remove the child from the situation. A team member will sit and discuss the behavior with the child before or after the time out period. If we are unsuccessful in calming a child, parents will be called asked to remove him/her from Kids Club. When disruptive behavior becomes a pattern, we ask that the child be scheduled during less busy times in order to provide smaller group and more one-on-one attention.
Visitors, including relatives and friends of members, are not permitted in Kids Club. Unauthorized adults may not remove children from Kids Club. Our Kids Club team is CPR/ First Aid/AED certified.
